February 26, 2008, TPC Founder Keith Parker presents to PMI OVOC Chapter
Ottawa, ON – On February 26, 2008, TPC Founder and Managing Director, Keith Parker, presented “Successful Proposals: Not just the start of Successful Projects” to the Ottawa Valley Outaouais Chapter of the Project Management Institute. The sold out lunchtime meeting provided the opportunity for 100 PMI members to learn how proposals are just like projects and need to be managed as such. In addition to providing an overview of the proposal lifecycle, Mr. Parker provided attendees with a description of a number of practical tips and tools that can be applied whenever managing a proposal of their own. September 22, 2007, TPC sponsors table at OCRI Government Opportunities Event
Ottawa, ON – The Proposal Centre was proud to sponsor a table for the September 21, 2007 presentation “Increasing Accountability and SME Participation in Public Procurement” presented by Mr. François Guimont, Deputy Minister Public Works and Government Services Canada. Several of The Proposal Centre’s clients were on hand to hear Mr. Guimont speak about the medium to long-term direction of the department, in particular its desire to simplify the procurement process, improve opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises, and abide by the new rules put in place through the Federal Accountability Act and Action Plan. The Federal Accountability Act and Action Plan includes a number of positive improvements in the field of procurement, not the least of which is the creation of an Office of the Procurement Ombudsman. The event was hosted by the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI) as part of the Government Opportunities series. The Proposal Centre is a member of OCRI.

Ottawa, ON – Keith Parker, President and Founder of The Proposal Centre, presented “Is it an Art or a Science: The Secrets of Successful Proposals Revealed” to the National Capital Region Chapter of the Independent Meeting Planners Association of Canada (IMPAC). The presentation discussed the essentials of writing competitive proposals and provided tips and hints for putting proposals over the top the help improve the odds of winning.
